International Postgraduate Symposium on Computing and Informatics
The Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FKI), Universiti Malaysia Sabah is organizing the first International Postgraduate Symposium on Computing and Informatics (IPSCI 2026).
IPSCI 2026 provides a platform for postgraduate students, researchers, and industry professionals to present their research findings, receive expert feedback, and establish academic collaborations.
The symposium includes research presentations, workshops, panel discussions, networking sessions, and publication opportunities.
Known as the Pearl of Borneo, Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan is a beautiful island destination located off the coast of Sabah, Malaysia. Labuan offers a unique blend of modern facilities, cultural heritage, tropical beaches, and duty-free shopping.
Participants can explore scenic attractions, local seafood cuisine, historical sites, and vibrant island experiences while attending IPSCI 2026.
Accepted paper authors are invited to join ICT-Edutourism 2026 and experience the unique combination of technology, research, and cultural immersion in Labuan. Participants may select the package that best suits their interests, including ICT-Edutourism with IPSCI 2026 or AMICT 2026.
Participants will take part in research and publication workshops, AI-assisted scholarly activities, networking sessions with international peers, community outreach programmes, and educational visits to Labuan’s cultural and heritage attractions. Through this unique experience, participants will gain valuable insights into the application of ICT in research, tourism, and community development while building international collaborations and fostering intercultural understanding.

The Computing Research in 3 Minutes (CR3M) is a fast-paced, high-impact academic competition designed for postgraduate researchers. Inspired by international 3MT challenges, contestants are tasked with presenting a compelling spoken summary of their research, its core significance, and societal benefits to a non-specialist audience in just 180 seconds.
Strictly capped at 180 seconds. Going over the time limit leads to immediate disqualification.
No transitions, animations, embedded media, or movement. Just one master slide or poster-style visual.
No additional audio/video, instruments, poems, raps, or physical props are permitted.
Open to all Master's and PhD students in computing, informatics, and related domains.
Competitors are evaluated on research significance and impact, communicative efficacy, content clarity, research innovation, and slide composition.
