Course structure and credit hours:
3 semesters (40 credit hours)
Taught classes 30% (12 credit hours),
and research 70% (28 credit hours)

- IS Research Methods
- Datalogy
- IS Models & Theories
- Smart IS
- Dissertation 1 & 2. Every taught course must be completed in semester 1, dissertation 1 in semester 2, and dissertation 2 in semester 3.

Entry requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing or related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.75, as accepted by the Senate of PPT; OR
- Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing or related field with a CGPA of at least 2.00 and below 2.75 may be considered subject to careful assessment as determined by PPT; OR
- Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) in a NON-COMPUTING field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 may be accepted subject to thorough evaluation as determined by PPT to identify suitable prerequisite courses equivalent to their work experience in Computing or related field; OR
- Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) in a NON-COMPUTING field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 may be accepted subject to appropriate prerequisite courses1; OR
- Other qualifications equivalent to a bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing or related field recognized by the Government of Malaysia.
