Program Context & Objectives
The Master of Computer Science (Software Development) by coursework is designed to prepare graduates with state-of-the-art knowledge and skills required to compete in the rapidly growing field of computer technology related to the adoption of the Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0).
Focus on Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Information Retrieval, and Machine Learning to drive smart industry solutions.
Deep dive into large-scale system architectures, modern web engineering, testing methodologies, and database systems.
Admission Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computing with a minimum CGPA of 2.75.
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computing with a CGPA between 2.50 – 2.74 may be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment by the faculty.
A Bachelor’s degree in computing with CGPA of 2.00 – 2.49 may be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in relevant computing fields.
A Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in non-computing fields with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 may be accepted provided the applicant has taken at least 1 prerequisite computing module.
Senate & Accreditation Compliance: Degrees awarded by local/private higher education institutions must be MQA-accredited. All candidates must fulfill the English Language Proficiency criteria set by Universiti Malaysia Sabah.
